Biscoff Packaging Design


Since 1932, Lotus Biscoff (found in Belgium) has been Europe’s favorite cookie with coffee. The current branding and design that Biscoff uses across multiple mediums is recognizable but outdated. One of the most glaring challenges is the need to follow the Lotus brand standard but bring up a new-fresh design.


Redesign the logo and packaging which were inspired by 1930s European art style and old bakery logo design.


Create a letter face using soft curves and simple dark brown to evoke the feeling of the early 20th century and the unique taste of Biscoff's cookie.


Three design options were created for different purposes. The general packaging design follows the red and white color palette from Lotus Company.

The landscape packaging was based on the painting from the famous Belgian artist Magritte. it is a limited edition produced to commemorate the birth of Magritte.​

The gold on black packaging was inspired by early 1930s European art styles such as Art Nouveau and Art Deco. it is a limited edition produced to commemorate the start of the Lotus in 1932.​
