Great Wall Wine Packaging Design
BACKGROUND
China Great Wall Wine Co., Ltd was founded in 1983. The company markets its products in 20 countries or regions, such as USA, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and domestically in 29 provinces in China. The purpose of the packaging design is to introduce their Sauvignon Blanc summer edition products to the woldwide clients.
BRIEF
Design the packaging for Great Wall Sauvignon Blanc special summer edition.
CONCEPT
Experts used the phrase "crisp, elegant, and fresh" as a favorable description of Sauvignon blanc. To catch the feeling of summer and the taste of Sauvignon blanc, this design was inspired by 3 well-known Asian cultural elements.
JADE: jade has a special significance, comparable with that of gold and diamonds in the West. it was used for the finest objects and cult figures. Also, its coolish touch and smooth texture recall the cool water.
LOTUS: as the representative of summer flowers, the lotus is one of the most famous icons of Asian culture.
KOI FISH: in Asian art and literature, koi fish always appears along with the lotus flower to signify wealth and success.
COLOR
The cool tone color palette inspired by lotus flower and koi fish is used to express the cool and refreshing feeling of the summer.
